Some of you are asking me to post here some of your favourite songs. So I decided to do a survey to post the most voted song. By now you must give names: What's your favourite song and band?
Answer as soon as possible, so that we can find a winner!
On your marks, get set... go!!!
Frontline from the band pillar
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have a "favourite song". It depends on the more on my mood than on anything else.
ReplyDeleteBut right now I'm listening to Pearl Jam's Give to Fly.
Here's the lyrics. True poetry.
"He could’ve tuned in, tuned in
But he tuned out
A bad time, nothing could save him
Alone in a corridor, waiting, locked out
He got up outta there, ran for hundreds of miles
He made it to the ocean, had a smoke in a tree
The wind rose up, set him down on his knee
A wave came crashing like a fist to the jaw
Delivered him wings, "Hey, look at him now"
Arms wide open with the sea as his floor
Oh, power, oh
He's.. flying
Whole…
High.. wide, oh
He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share
His key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere
But first he was stripped and then he was stabbed
By faceless men, well, fuckers
He still stands
And he still gives his love, he just gives it away
The love he receives is the love that is saved
And sometimes is seen a strange spot in the sky
A human being that was given to fly
High.. flying
Oh, oh
High.. flying
Oh, oh
He’s…flying
Oh, oh"
Linkin Park forever :D
ReplyDeleteAll songs are great, but if i have to chose one song only i chose a new single Linkin Park - New Divide
Here's the lyrics
Linkin Park - New Divide
I remembered black skies
The lightning all around me
I remembered each flash as time began to blur
Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve
So give me reason to prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the flood cross the distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies
Across this new divide
There was nothing in sight but memories left abandoned
There was nowhere to hide the ashes fell like snow
And the ground caved in between where we were standing
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve
So give me reason to prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the flood cross the distance in your eyes
Across this new divide
In every loss
In every lie
In every truth that you'd deny
And each regret and each goodbye
Was a mistake too great to hide
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve
So give me reason to prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the flood cross the distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies
Across this new divide
Across this new divide
Across this new divide
Frontline from the band pillar lyrics It's not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of death
ReplyDeleteStand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet
I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down
You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end
When it's over, we can say, "Well done"
But not yet, 'cause it's only begun
So, pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones
To fight this thing, until we've won
We drive on and don't look back
It doesn't mean we can't learn from our past
All the things that we mighta done wrong
We could've been doing this all along
Everybody, with your fists raised high
Let me hear your battle cry tonight
Stand beside, or step aside
We're on the frontline
And we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore
Step aside, you forgot what this is for
We fight to live, we live to fight
And tonight, you'll hear my battle cry
We live our lives on the frontlines
We're not afraid of the fast times
These days have opened up my eyes
And now, I see where the threat lies
We've got to lead the way
I can´t say what is my favourite song because the song is full of bad language and its inapropriate to an english class :)

linki park is winning, two points by now. We're running out of time, so hurry up with your choices.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, now that I know who the anonymous and the mysterious man are, I have another mystery to solve... finding out the identity of the "idiot". I must say the irony regarding the name is brilliant.
I usually listen to various bands, and if I had to choose,I choose my three bands of election: muse, coldplay and the prodigy.
ReplyDeleteP.S. linkin park is a great band too
Well Teacher... I think you'll have to play a detective role to find that out.
ReplyDeleteOne of the advantages of the web is the ability of being anonymous whenever and for how much time we want.
Linkin Park have a lot to learn. I think they are becoming too commercial and they are forgetting their origins (ex. In the end). Their sound is also a bit "sticky" because it gets into you ears and it doesn't leave it for a long time.
RM anonymous and Phoenix - You should take a look at some groups like "The Strokes" and "The Hives". I think you'd like their songs :)
well, teacher you have most choice for to linkin park, despite being a good band, i prefer possicat dolls- "I hate this part".. :)
